Persons over the age of 18 are eligible to participate in all department activities including but not limited to interior firefighting, driving trucks, and high angle rescue upon being properly trained to participate in these activities.
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a firefighter? Have you ever wanted to volunteer in your community? From saving someone trapped in a structure fire to cutting a victim out of a wrecked vehicle to rappelling off a building to rescue someone in danger, Union Fire-Rescue has a position for you.
Not a trained firefighter? No problem! Union Fire-Rescue provides training classes in every aspect of the fire service. After becoming a member of the department, new recruits can participate in all department training provided. Members can also participate other training related to the fire service such as hazardous materials training and medical training.
To become a member you can fill out a membership form available at our two stations. All applications must be approved before admittance to the department.
